Housing story

I hadn't realized until later in life that housing was always an issue growing up. I had relatives living place to place, and juggling between affordable housing without transportation access or a decent car with no stable housing. As a car crash survivor living with a traumatic brain injury, I never knew my ability to advocate for safer roads would be determined by my housing access and affordability. For me, joining the YIMBY movement is about ensuring housing is not a barrier to the freedom to move.
